Features and Benefits
Why use TIN
Tin should be used in low surface foot or low heat cutting. It is a great top coating for many other coatings. It gives the best view of wear, making it an operators first choice if possible. Good for tools that taper were surface footage is low or fricion with limited heat may occur.
Advantages to Cobalt
Cobalt is extremly versitile and is used on matirials up to 40HRc as it is 68HRc making it the second toughest substrate. Cobalt can be used on almost all matirials. It should be used when carbide chips or when High Speed wears out quickly. Cobalt performs extremly well on high tensile strength matirials, wear high cutting forces fracture carbide.
When to use High Helix
High Helix is ideal for soft materials and some high temp alloys. Works well on side wall finishing off all steals. Should be use Weldon flat as these tend to pull out of collets, shrink fit and hydraulic holders.
