Features and Benefits

Why us DLC

DLC or Diamond Like Coatings are used for lubricity as well as abrasion resistance. As a stand alone coating it is a great alternative to Amorphous Diamond. It has a huge cost advantage over Diamond and being a much thinner coating on small tools maintains the sharp edge. This really helps with deflection of tools on long diameter ratio cuts. DLC added other coatings give a huge increase in lubricity you will generally see this in tapping.

Benefits of Carbide

Carbide is the most versatile material for cutting all materials. This should be the first choice for rigid cutting. Carbide comes in many different varieties of toughness and hardness. Round tools are limited in varsity as they are extruded. Inserts come in hundreds of combinations as they are sintered and pressed.
